Amour (2012)
The pains of elderly illness embodied through film.
Presentation:
The film smartly opens with the conclusion of the film, allowing you to care for the monotonous trip that lays ahead. The film is unbearably slow, probably by design, to encapsulate the pains and slowness of aging. However, it maybe be hard to stay focused as the film successfully borders on painful suffering shared by a painful viewing.
Conclusion:
The film is quite an experience with an unexpected message which you'll only receive up until that final moment. Whether it's worth enduring a whole film is up for debate, nevertheless it successfully leaves a strong impression.
