Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017)

Watch this film long enough it stares back at you.

Cinematography

Basic lighting but some well thought out movement, zooms and camera angles. This leads to some true rawness necessary for this horror film. A weird undefinably unsettling film that is only for the avant garde, speaking to the strange dark corners of the mind

Conclusion:

Freaky weird genius Yorgos Lanthimos provides a horror film unlike any other. Distorting the dialogue style of Wes Anderson with the strangeness of Dogtooth or The Lobster leaves you with a polished weird experience that will disturb you. Lanthimos very well could be onto something special with this eerie formula and perhaps time will tell if he invents a genre as Tarantino has accomplished. Lanthimos consistently makes your skin curl with the most uncanny characters and creating a believable alternate reality. This film is foreboding and exponentially ominous. In combination with the strange dialogue, it’ll leave you with an unforgettable experience.
