American History X (1998)
An unrestrained redemption arc of a neo-nazi.
Presentation:
Gritty, part black and white, visceral violence and violent racism back when you could film something culturally taboo and not be destroyed by sensitive audiences. Edward Norton convinces you of both a life long Nazi and also genuine attempt at change.
Conclusion:
It can be a bit hard to stomach, and some parts may be easy to repress from memory but this is a very raw film with a moving script.
