A seductive thriller that will make you cheer for the wrong side.

Presentation:

The film follows a quite mysterious and brooding teenage girl. The film has tons of taste from the sensible Park Chan-wook's first English debut. For any wallflowers or reclusive members of society, you'll find the lead character to be magnetic. This doesn't happen often for characters that are overly angsty and rebellious, but facial expressions and an air of mystery pull it off. Something about the compositions are deceptively gorgeous from the talented DP.

Story:

Western society has always been fascinated with serial killers. The psychology, the methodology, this one explores the female aspects, which is exceptionally executed. Juxtaposed next to the modern cliche girlbosses, Stoker shows us real power and capacity from a woman.

Conclusion:

This might be good enough you'll want to watch it again
