What We Do in the Shadows (2014)

If vampires couldn't pay rent.

Presentation:

This is a hilarious horror comedy in documentary style. But the sets are well made and the practical effects are surprisingly good and comical. It naturally will take place mostly at night with dim lighting adding to the dark mood but comical tone. It's really well done.

Conclusion:

This is both funny and satirical, especially during a time when vampire movies were relevant. It's bewildering to think of vampires this way, going to the club, getting sauced, and what happens when they don't get along with each other? It has a bit of the office style which a few good laugh out loud moments, but mostly big grins for the smart jokes. A comedic documentary styled horror satire that is more perhaps more witty than outright laughing your pants off. It's enjoyable for considering it was made during a time when vampire movies were relevant. It's bewildering to think of vampires this way. It has a bit of the office style which a few good laugh out loud moments, but mostly big grins for the smart jokes. Although the vampire genre may not be as relevant today is it was in 2014, it is seriously fun.
