The Artifice Girl (2022)
A more substantial AI film.
Presentation:
The film looks nice for being an indie film. There are maybe only a few locations with the majority of the film taking by place in 2 rooms but it doesnβt matter when the story is compelling. This is one of the few AI films that is meaningful and has a modern interpretation that has something new to offer. You wouldnβt expect it to be an indie film until itβs too late and youβre already hooked. The dialogue is compelling and characters have clear motivations and are developed well. The movie has no action, but spars through dialogue with each ambiguous side making the unfolding of results even more organic. Itβs a bit of a fly on the wall situation, an engrossing debate that you wish you could interject. The ending is perhaps a little overdone and forced and although I doubt the validity/feasibility of the conclusion, the performances and dialogue made it one of the better AI films.
Conclusion:
This is how you do a movie on AI and it mostly takes place in just one room. Forget The Creator, this is the best budget AI film in recent years and takes the crown for indie sci-fi film
