The Cabin in the Woods (2011)
Likely the funniest slasher of all time.
Presentation:
This film is great for the conspiracy theorists or those that have watched a ton of slashers and want something fresh. It takes horror tropes that audiences are familiar with and puts everything on its head. You’d think a group of teenagers getting hunted in a cabin during their weekend of sex would be trite and if that’s your expectation then you should love this film.
Conclusion:
For some, this might be a silly film and a waste of time. But if you’re not the type of person that finds slasher films amusing, then you wouldn’t be interested in this film to begin with. A meta commentary film that will surely be a fun time if you have any sense of humor.
