Presentation:
The film uses found footage camera work to have one of the most unique superhero films in cinema. Telekinesis and mentally unstable teenagers, what could go wrong? There are many comparisons to Akira, and if you are a fan of the iconic anime I think this will be right up your alley.
Conclusion:
The great things about this film: Cool super powers most men have fantasized about, a band of school friends, intimate realism. Bad things: The script is pretty shallow. But the development, discovery and sequences are thrilling enough that you may forgive the abrupt ending. It’s good enough that many will still want a sequel or even franchising for this sleeper cult hit. It’s nothing sensational, but it should still be in many audience’s hearts even if it is one of those shallow bootleg flicks. Similar to Cloverfield in tone.
