Fight Club (1999)
We don't talk about Fight Club.
Presentation:
Fincher has one of the most engaging scripts that rewards multiple viewings with his typical precise clean and dark cinematography. The film oozes coolness led by the enigmatic Tyler Durden played by Brad Pitt, whom I'm sure many young men also looked up to when this film was released. This was one of the prominent films to make anti-establishment cool.
Conclusion:
Is it cliche to rate Fight Club as Fincher's best film? Maybe, but it doesn't matter as this is one of his most influential and signature works. Other films may have better writing, but they donβt have the magic and cult following of this film that undoubtedly shaped generations of lost men shackled by society.
