Groundhog Day (1993)

When the jokes are good enough to repeat again and again.

Presentation:

Bill Murray plays his signature aloof skeptical persona, this time as a narcissistic weatherman covering the most ridiculous holiday, Groundhog Day. It should make you laugh but the most interesting aspect of this film is the premise. Most of us have fantasized what we would do if we could relive the same day over and over again and this movie shows us everything we would probably try. Hilarity ensues but also some surprisingly heartwarming moments as well.

Conclusion:

A near timeless film that is approaching classic status for its enduring premise. Bill Murray is always an entertaining funny man even when he’s not even trying to be. If you wanted a feel good holiday movie you can watch repeatedly without getting bored, this is one of them.
