A look at human motivations wrestling with a fascinating circumstance.

Presentation:

Based on a real story, Greg Frasier utilizes mostly natural lighting to tell compelling biographical events that never feel documentary. Steve Carell demonstrates his range and Tatum and Ruffalo also command respect with their performances. This is a story of brothers, insecurity, and the frailty of the human mind and how it consumes you. Add a twisted relationship of entitled riches to the mix and you have the makings of an explosive story. Carell really surprises us with a creepy performance. The film ends leaving you with many questions like a social experiment, you'll want to research the true events immediately after the credits roll.

Conclusion:

Great script and performances, although Carrell exercises his creative liberties, he brings us an experience that sticks.
